Edition details:

AP - Artists Proof

Edition of 3. One printed. Woodblocks no longer exist.

.

Very large hand printed woodcut and wood intaglio printed with oil based ink on french Arches Lapis Fidelis paper

.

This woodcut was made during my time at Art School in the early 1990's {My Visual Arts degree major was Printmaking}.

It has been stored as part of my personal archive since then, and the time has come to let it see the light of day.

There is a bit of foxing on the bottom left corner and a small brown mark at the top left of the paper {see photos}

The price of this work is adjusted accordingly, and these marks could most probably be removed by a conservator if desired.

.

A woodcut from this series of work was featured on the cover of the December issue of Art News NZ magazine 1992, with an article about the collection on page 4

.

Born of the Foam received a Merit Award at the Sarjeant Gallery Arts Review in 1993, hung as a triptych with two other works from this collection.

.

This work can be framed, sandwiched between perspex, or attached directly to the wall with adhesive velcro or tacks.

.

It will be sent to you rolled in acid free tissue within a cardboard tube.
